The Federation Internationale de L'Art Photographique (FIAP) is an international organisation formed in 1950, hosted in Luxembourg whose members are national associations of photographic societies.
To gain the EFIAP (Excellence FIAP) distinctions you have to hold the AFIAP (Artiste FIAP) for at least a year. The criteria for the EFIAP @ 2018 is as follows:
250 Acceptances from at least 50 different images, from 30 different Salons in 20 different countries. 12 out of the 50 images must have at least 1 acceptance as a print as well as a digital image and 2 images must have received an Award from different Salons in different countries...
After the EFIAP we start with the levels - EFIAP/b (bronze). EFIAP/s (silver) EFIAP/g (gold) and EFIAP/p (platinium) - I'm partial to platinum! but after these come the DIAMONDS and who doesn't like those?
Having achieved EFIAP a while ago, I now need a minimum of 200 acceptances from at least another 50 images from 5 more countries for the bronze...
FIAP forms are not the easiest to understand or complete and how the FIAP liaison officer still has any hair left beats me but after some tense emails my application was put through.... Today I am the recipient of a new certificate and my EFIAP can be slashed with a b for BRONZE....
NOW I NEED A REST!
